Damned Straight!
I, for one, am sick of so many of the malicious untruths spread about black men.
I think that it says alot about our society, and how willing we are to believe these "facts" about.
I'm in a rush, so, I'll publish a more indepth post later.

That makes such a good point. You can't ever just accept statistical data. Who did the study? Where did they take their random sample from? How random was the sample? If a poll was involved, did they lead the answers? So many questions need to be asked before you believe something you hear or read.
One thing I always found suspisious was the "more black men in jail than in college". I always thought that that study had to have been done from a sample pool where virtually no one was going to college and was a high crime area with a majority African American population. Three things that would make the study NOT random at all.
Thanks for posting this.
I saw this video a couple of months ago, we deffinately need to keep out own statistic on our current statis.
Anyway we are putting together a forum to get after some of the issues hampering the black community worse. Please sign in and contribute to the discusion at. http://afrospear.jconserv.net/index.php
Allow me to recommend, on the heels of this PSA, _Innumeracy_ and _A_Mathematician_Looks_at_the_Newspaper_ both by John Paulos.
From the statistics side, the figures won't lie, but liars will figure and often make up thier own figures.
Thanks!

I have mixed feelings about this movie. I have written an analysis about the film, and would love to hear your thoughts:http://cagedlion.squarespace.com/journal/2007/8/19/review-what-are-these-black-men-thinking.html
I like your blog. I also have a box at the comic book shop.
