Today I got my first royalty check for Conversations with Octavia Butler. Completely unexpected and considerably more than I suspcted a royalty check might be. It definitely put a good spin on what was threatening to turn into a crapoy kind of a day. Most of it will go to responsible adult things, but I clearly I deserve a new pair of shoes.
